You might call it a 'dark romance' - with the emphasis on dark...

Supernatural horror...

... screenplay in process. Not a gore fest exactly, more a ghost fest - The Conjuring for instance points towards a growing trend when it comes to the supernatural horror genre: a return to old-school, 'relatively' non-violent horror. So real creepiness is back on the agenda - and I mean real...

It's a wrap!

Shooting of THE LEFT-HAND PATH now knocked on the head.  A lot of hard work with great cast and crew has hopefully given us something special to push in upcoming film festivals.  Three atmospheric locations really helped things along in more ways than one - except for a morning of torrential rain that threw things a bit but, at the end of the day, everyone got paid - and not just expenses... We got some great PR too...

Dream casting update...

Casting at Rain Dance for THE LEFT-HAND PATH (see blurb below) proved to be more fruitful than we ever could have hoped.  We now have on board the charismatic Costa Chard who is down to play ZAK and the lovely Brian Capron (New Tricks, Educating Rita, Coronation Street...) for TOM.  The roles, of FAY and JESSICA, went to Therese Robinson and Terri Dwyer (Hollyoaks, Mile High) respectively.  Shooting is in the skilled hands of the delightful Tony Errico and commences September - in Brighton...

Should turn out to be a little beauty. Subtle tones of occult and even a little horror...

SHORT FILM...

... retitled as THE LEFT-HAND PATH

It's actually a term for black magic practitioners.  Belief systems that describe themselves as “Left-Hand Path” often invert much of the symbolism of more 'traditional' Right-Hand Path belief systems, utilizing upside-down crosses, or inverted pentagrams, or pentacles. Such belief systems will also cite sources such as the following Biblical passage:
"And he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats. And he shall set the sheep on his right, but the goats on his left:
Matthew 25: 32-3"
Could be an interesting hook when it comes to marketing the short, particularly when we start talking about festivals and the need to get inventive posters/flyers printed...
